Collaborators
Jessie Cosentino (Co-Director, TrioDance Collective) graduated from Western Michigan University with a BFA in dance in May 2009 and moved to New York City the following September. Since arriving, Jessie has had the privilege of performing in several different projects such as the Broadway Meets Jazz Benefit at the Lincoln Center, a site specific piece located in the Washington Square Park fountain with choreographer Barbie Diewald, and also at the Indo-American Arts Festival with Maria Colaco Dance Company. In November she was contracted as a dancer with Perceptions Contemporary Dance Company which was founded in Boston in 2007. They are now premiering their first season in New York City. Jessie was also recently featured in a music video for musical artist Athena Reich, winner of the best pop song of the year at the 2009 OutMusic Awards. Since then Jessie was selected for an internship with Athena as her videographer and has begun a video editing business. She was commissioned for her first reel in March 2010. Jessie is still driven to be a choreographer and is interning for Donna Uchizono Dance Company. Jessie is very excited to be a co-artistic director of TrioDance Collective and to premier her new work, “Beyond the Monolithic Black” in June.
Emily Jeffries is a recent graduate of Kent State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. Before relocating to New York, she had the privilege of performing with Verlezza Dance. While in New York she has performed with Cirque du Soleil in their 25th anniversary performance, Barbie Diewald &c. Initiative in a site-specific work in Washington Square Park, and Danzare International Dance. She is currently serving as Fundraising Manager and Development Intern for Neville Dance Theater and has completed an administrative internship with Doug Varone and Dancers. Since moving to New York she has studied intesively with Doug Varone, Nathan Trice, Korhan Basaran, Thang Dao Dance Company, and Naganuma Dance. Honey will be her choreographic premiere in New York, and the third time she has had the opportunity to collaborate with composer Dorian Wallace.
